For a studio that prides itself on the quality and creativity of its work it might surprise you to hear that until recently we’d not won any awards. Don’t get us wrong, we’re a studio of award-winning individuals both in our fields and outside them, but as a studio we’d never submitted our work to be judged, and as the saying goes, you’ve got to be in it to win it. Well all that changed last week at the opening night of the Northern Design Festival when our latest product, our cast-concrete ‘BK Ends’, picked up the hotly contested gong of ‘Best Gift Product’ at the Design Event MART. Needless to say we are absolutely over the moon and will be doubling our prices with immediate effect to celebrate. Seriously though, a big thanks has to go to Design Event for selecting them for exhibition, British by Design for selecting us as the winner, and RASKL who mixed and poured the concrete that made the idea a reality.
