It became festive fast

Well, that’s it.

December. Christmas. Yueltide. “The Season to be jolly”.

Whatever you call it, this year it seems to have come around awfully fast. It feels like only a few weeks ago that we were wondering how the year would fill out and which projects we’d be working on and all of a sudden it’s all but over.

Only 12 months

We can say that 2012 has been a truly great year here at Wonderstuff. It’s been busy and looking back, as you do at this time of year, it’s hard to believe all the things we’ve achieved. We moved the studio to a new office in Gosforth – The Hayloft – in July and have turned it into our centre of design – and second home!

We’ve worked with clients on projects that we could have only dreamed of – such as our work with Barnardo’s and Durham County Council – and helped many new businesses come to life, using design as a key part of the launch of the businesses. And, we’re proud to say, many of these are still working with us to help develop their brands and business in 2013.

Channel 4

We also had the joy of working with Channel 4 and Katie Piper this year on a TV project. We still can’t say a lot about it, but the show is planned to be broadcast in January, and (unless we’ve been cut) will feature Paul and Merlin working with Katie on a project that could have a great social impact.

Travel Bureau | Kuoni

This year also saw us working with long term client Travel Bureau Gosforth to develop their brand and position as they became partners with Kuoni, Britains best luxury travel and tour operator. All marketing and communication material was updated, in line with cementing Travel Bureau’s position as the North East’s travel experts and was launched with a great event at the Baltic with the BBC’c Simon Reeve.

What next?

Well, after a suitable Christmas break we’ll be back, working hard on some new and existing projects. We have ambition to work with a select group of clients over the coming 12 months who share our passion for using design to improve their business. We already have the names of some of them, and have projects planned, but we have a lot more up our sleeve…

If you’d like to stay up to date with what we’re up to, and how design can help your business, email us at ask@wonderstuff.co and we’ll pop you on our mailing list. We send out a brief newsletter every three months with how design is affecting – and benefitting – business and a little of what we’ve been up to. Of course, give us a call in person – 0191 447 2727 – if there’s anything you think we can help you with.

Merry Christmas to one and all of you!
